Aluminium

The Aluminium is a metal of light density: 2,7g/cm³ with a good electrical resistance (2,781 x 10-8 Ω.m) and moderate ductility. It shall be used in several applications as conductor of enameled wires and it has advantages related to the final weight of the component when compared to Copper.

Products with Aluminium conductors:

Enameled - Aluminium wires of round or rectangular sections with an insulating film of several materials and with a Thermal Class of 120 to 220º. Used in Motors, Transformers, Solenoids and Coils in general.

Covered - Aluminium wires of round or rectangular sections insulated with fibers or spiral tapes. Used in Transformers, Traction Motors and Generators of Electrical Power.

Transposed Cable - To be consulted - It is a conductor formed of 2 parallel bundles of enameled flat wires where each single conductor occupies all possible positions along the cable length. The Transposed Cable shall have from 5 to 61 single conductors. It shall be used in High Power Transformers.

Bare Aluminium - Conductors with no isolation of rectangular or round sections for general use.
